Okay so I was on vacation these past two weeks with my family in Tennessee, Florida, and the Bahamas. Before I left I placed a couple orders online and while away did some seriously damaging shopping. Probably shouldn’t have but I did it anyways and I am so excited about everything. This is kind of like a back-to-school haul since I did get a lot of this as prep for the new school year but I have actual back-to-school posts planned for later.
First things first, the beauty department. I stopped by Ulta and Lush the day I got back because I was starting to run out of some of my favorite must-have products.
Philosophy Purity Made Simple: for obvious reasons.
Philosophy Clear Days Ahead: I read decent reviews and decided to try it out. I used it for the first time this morning and it has such a fun citrus-y scent that makes it perfect for those groggy mornings. It also feels and rinses like the purity cleanser.
Peter Thomas Roth Exfoliating Gel: I had some texture on my cheeks and forehead so I asked a skincare specialist at Sephora what to do. She suggested an enzymatic exfoliator like this one. So I picked it up the other day and OH.MY.WORD. review to come later about how in awe I am.
Murad Acne Clarifying Solution: Like with the purity cleanser, for obvious reasons.
LUSH Fresh Face Mask Cosmetic Warrior: I wanted a new face mask to help with the slight breakout and texture I have been dealing with so I picked up this one that has garlic and tea tree oil. It feels so refreshing on the skin and I have loved literally every face mask I’ve gotten from there.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cremes in Milan and Antwerp: Easily one of my new favorite lip products. Long lasting, gorgeous creamy finish, lovely color pigmentation, and did I mention the price tag?
Makeup Geek Shadow Singles: I had never used or heard of Z Palettes before this year. I got one for Christmas but never had a chance to fill it. All of Makeup Geeks eye shadow singles are gorgeous but I just wanted to get a few basics. (Barcelona Beach, Frappe, Bitten, Burlesque, Peach Smoothie, Shimma Shimma, Cocoa Bear, Purely Naked, Crème Brulee, and Cosmopolitan)
Morphe 9B Blush Palette: I was in desperate need of new blushes and heard good reviews about this palette so I ordered one. I have yet to try it out but I am already drooling at the gorgeous colors.
Morphe 35C Taupe Palette: I couldn’t resist. An entire palette of taupe based shadows with a mix of satin, shimmer, and matte finishes? How’d they know!
Next up, clothing. I got a couple basic tanks and tshirts from Gap and Ann Taylor. Huge Independence Day Sales are my favorite at stores like that! Then there was a huge Tobi order (yes, another one) before I left. I’m weak for their sitewide 50% off.
I love pairing a cute crop top with anything high waisted! They can easily be dressed up or down, when you’re running errands or wanting to go out for the night. I also got a few basic tshirt dresses. Simple enough to go with virtually everything and make getting ready in the morning a breeze (perfect for college students). A cute sweater that can be thrown on with jeans or leggings are great for fast and chic fall and weather transition outfits. And the maxi dresses I got just because I love maxi dresses! This order was mainly a back-to-school clothing haul to help make getting ready for class easy and chic.
